March 1, 2015
Dear Parents,
Our Valentine’s Day party was wonderful, filled with fun and love. The children had such fun playing and especially loved making Valentine projects. They had fun learning about our friend the “groundhog” and learning about dental health too. The children made teeth and a toothbrush to review at circle time how important and fun it is to “brush, brush, brush, your teeth”.
This month the children will be focusing on Community Helpers, St. Patrick’s Day, Spring, & Farm Animals. The dentist will be visiting with us this month on March 19th. The children will also be taking home a goodie bag when the dentist visits.
The children are learning new words during our circle time, such as: Community, March, Spring and many more. The children also enjoy doing music, movement and exercise everyday. They are really doing well and love to do their projects too!
In our Community Helper Unit we will introduce the concept and will discuss how different groups work together and why community work is important for our communities. Our Community Helper unit will be exciting. The children are excited to make police people, fire people, and more.
St. Patrick’s Day is on the way and soon our classroom will be filled with green! The children will be decorating the classroom with pots o’ gold, rainbows, shamrocks, and lucky leprechauns. Our class will be celebrating on Tuesday, March 17th. Please dress your child in green. Miss Dawn will be providing the classes with green bagels and juice.
For our Farm Animals unit we will learn how farm animals are useful to us. We will learn how to take care of them, the names of them, their shelters, food and babies.
The children are also starting to prepare for our “end of the year “ concert in June. The concert date will be given out in next month’s newsletter. If you could please bring $15.00 cash in an envelope per child to help cover the cost of the shirts and costumes for graduation as soon as possible. School pictures will be taken on April 13th at 9:00 am.
We now have Quick Pay – The new and easy way to pay your child’s tuition! This is available through an email invoice which will be sent to you monthly. The directions are on our website for online and automatic payments, please refer to the e-flier for a direct link and instructions.
Please be sure to watch or check online Channel 12 News or call the schools voicemail, and we now have an automated phone message for any days we will be closed or for important information.
If anyone would like to donate wipes and/or tissues, we have been going through so many boxes. We appreciate it!
If you are interested in Direct Deposit from your bank it is now available, please contact Dawn for further information.
