HAPPY FEBRUARY!!

Unknown-5     We hope everyone had a wonderful New Years! The children had so much fun learning about Winter, Martin Luther King’s Day, Dinosaurs / Dragons, Breakfast Foods and observing the weather outside last month. We look forward to a very fun and exciting February!

     This month we will learn about Groundhog Day, Dental Health/Personal Hygiene, Valentine’s Day, & President’s Day. We will make many fun projects and images-1artwork.

     On Wednesday, February 14th we are having our Valentine’s Day party (be sure to send your child dressed in Red!). The class is decorating hearts and learning about the heart shape. They also will discuss the nice things to do for someone you love. Please don’t forget to tell your child’s teacher which store bought treat you will drop off for our celebration – Thank you!

super bowl     The Nursery and Preschool Classes will be working on poems, Holiday themed artwork, new songs, writing skills, learning how to write and spell their name, letters, numbers and shapes. We will be working on the letters Pp, Qq, Rr, numbers 15, 16, 17 colors, patterns, months, seasons. The children are learning new words during our circle time, such as: Groundhog, February, Valentine and many more. The children also enjoy doing music, movement and exercise everyday. They are really doing well and love to do their projects too! We will be learning colors, patterns, shapes, sounds and seasons.Unknown

     Everyday at circle time the Toddler Class will continue name Recognition, Shapes, Numbers, Colors and Alphabet Recognition. The children also enjoy doing music, movement and exercise everyday. They are really doing well and love to do their projects too! Unknown-5

     In our Groundhog Day Unit, we will discuss what is a groundhog, where they live and if he will see his shadow?

     In our Dental Health/Personal Hygiene Unit, we will learn how to take care of our teeth and our whole body. We will discuss what is good for us to eat and what is not so good for us.Unknown-3

     In our Valentine’s Day Unit, we will discuss the people we love and how important it is to celebrate them on this special day and everyday.

     For our President’s Day Unit the children will learn what a president does and how important they are.

Please don’t forget, each month tuition is the full tuition price and dueUnknown-3 on the 1st, no later than the 10th. A late fee of $35 will be charged for any payments made after the 10th of the month unless other arrangements have been made between the parent and provider in writing. The monthly Tuition cost will be until the end of the current calendar year or when your child/ren move to the next classroom, whichever comes first. The current tuition price will be the new yearly rate as your child/ren graduates into the next classroom. Thank you!!

Don't ForgetReminders:

  • Valentine’s Day PartyWednesday, February 14, 2024. Please wear RED!
  • We are CLOSED Monday, February 19, 2024 –President’s Day.
  • Please call if your child will be absent as soon as possible. Please pick your children up on time. Overtime pay will be $1.00 a minute for each minute after 6:00 pm. If your child will be absent or if you will be late picking up, please advise the staff as soon as possible – thank you.
  • Tuition payments are due on the first and no later than the 10th of the month unless otherwise arranged. Full Tuition price is due each month, there is no price adjustment when your child is absent, school closings or vacations.
  • Please send in only breakfast, 2 healthy snacks (morning snack and afternoon snack) and lunch as per the OCFS Meal and Snack Regulations.
  • Breakfast is served until 9:15am. If you arrive after this time please ensure your child has been fed breakfast at home.
  • Please remember our Health Care Policy: Children MUST be fever free for 24 hours with a doctor’s note before returning to school.

tissue     If anyone would like to donate wipes and/or tissues, we have been going through so many boxes. We appreciate it!

     The cold weather is here!!  The children will be going outside twice a day as weather permits. Please dress your child appropriately and label ALL items (with child’s images-9first and last name) that are brought to the school and also bring in an extra change of clothes too. To ensure safety, please have your child wear sneakers everyday, no open shoes, flip flops, or crocs as they are not safe for the playground. Please bring in wipes and a change of weather appropriate clothes; pants, shirts, socks, and underwear (if needed), shoes (no laces – velcro only), jacket, hat and gloves/ mittens for your child.

Unknown-8     Please remember to return sippy cups, bedding and blankets on Monday’s after bringing them home to be washed. **For the safety of the children please DO NOT send in GLASS containers as they break**

     We please ask that all children leave their toys and jewelry home as we encourage sharing of the schools toys. This will ensure their safety and we do not want the children to be upset if an item may imagesget lost or broken.
