Schedule of Program Activities: Toddlers

7:00 Breakfast is given: After breakfast free play begins. Children may

use crayons, play dough or finger paints.

Available are: blocks, dolls, touch and feel books, multi-sensory

toys, tactile objects to stimulate the development of

toddlers, and promote fine motor coordination. Individual

interactions with teachers and children.

9-9:30 Clean-up. including wiping down the tables, highchairs, and sweeping. Diaper changes

10:30-11     Circle time begins. The toddlers review the calendar, weather,

days of the week, numbers, read a book and discuss the theme of

the week; also (colors, alphabet, and show & tell).

9:35     Hands are washed and snack is given.

10:00   Outdoor play, weather permitting. Cooperative play plus large

motor skill development. Diaper changes/toileting.

11:00   Music and movement and diaper changes/toileting. Hands washed.

Project/activity time relating to the thematic unit.

11:30    Story time and singing while lunch is being prepared.

12:00   Hands are washed and lunch is served.

12:30   Diaper changes/toileting. Hands washed. Soft music is put on, nap time begins.

2:15      Children awaken, diaper changes/toileting, hands are washed and

snack is given. After snack free play begins.

3:00     Outdoor play. group and social cooperative play promoted.

4:00     Diaper changes/toileting and hands are washed.

4:15      Table toys; children use small motor skills and problem solving while

using manipulatives and puzzles.

5:15      Diaper changes/toileting. hands washed. Children listen to a story, sing or watch a movie while children are being picked-up.

6:00     Days activities end, everyone goes home. Have a good night!
